When Alexis and Sam reached out to me about their live wedding painting I could feel the deep connection that they both share. They spoke of the love they have for each other, and how they were making things work while being engaged long distance. I couldn’t believe that they were planning for a wedding while being across the country from each other and in the military!
With that in mind I wanted to create a wedding painting that showed their bond in delicate ways. I loved the idea of having them wrapped up in a comforting embrace, showing the peace and security that they both feel with each other. The intertwining of their hands became the perfect symbol for that. In their painting your eyes are drawn to both the connection in their faces and hands too.
I loved seeing their reaction on their wedding day at Dogwood Downs! The weather was perfect for a February wedding in Charleston. Watching their eyes light up when glimpsing their live wedding painting reminds me of why I love being a wedding painter. Throughout the evening I got to turn a blank canvas into this wonderful painting of their unique bond!
Cheers to you both Alexis & Sam!
